Night School

CFBISD Night School is an excellent opportunity for students to earn credits outside the regular school day.  Night School is open to all currently-enrolled CFBISD high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

Earn up to two half credits a semester.

Get ahead to make room in your schedule for other activities or retake a course to regain credit.

Night school for the Fall 2023 semester will be held in person.  Class will meet one night a week in person at Newman Smith High School on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 5 p.m.-8 p.m..

Night School Students are expected to be present for the duration of the class meeting time. 

Students will login to the online learning platform and teachers will be available online for questions and tutoring.  Classes begin the week of September 19 and end the week of December 8.

Course fees:
Payment may be made by credit or debit card online through the district's online payment system.
$150 for one semester of one course
$90 for Reduced Meal Plans (subject to verification)

Registration & Payment:
In order to understand which courses are the highest priority for the student's educational plan, students or their guardians will need to consult the student's school counselor prior to registering for night school classes.

The deadline to register for Night School Fall 2023 is September 14. Late registration may not be accepted.

Registration is a 2 part process. To be fully registered, a student must complete the registration form AND make payment.

A confirmation of registration will be sent by email to the student's CFB email address the week before classes begin along with information regarding orientation and schedule.
