Kacie's Run

We have plenty of parking available at Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD's Tommy Standridge Stadium, located at 1330 W. Valwood Parkway, Carrollton, TX 75006. The stadium is situated 1/2 mile west of Interstate 35 North at the corner of Valwood Parkway and Hutton. This year, due to the City of Carrollton Health and Wellness Fair taking place on the Home Side parking lot, all general event parking for Kacie's Run and the Health and Wellness Fair will be in the Visitor Side parking lot, with entry from W. Valwood Parkway. Limited accessibility parking will be available and permitted for entry near the event area on the west side for those with mobility needs.

Community Registration and Packet Pick Up:

Tuesday and Wednesday, April 1 and 2, 2025
4:00pm – 6:00pm
Marie Huie Special Education Center
1820 Pearl St., Bldg. C, Carrollton, TX 75006

Chronotrack timing will be used at this event. You must wear a tag to be timed and eligible for awards.  

• 1st Overall Male and Female
• 1st Place Team (largest team/most participants registered)
• Team Spirit Awards (wear costumes and show your enthusiasm!)

• Top 3 Male and Female in each of the following age groups: 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+

Kacie’s Run Committee will use the following guidelines in case of inclement weather:

1. Rain or shine, we will run.
2. Weather will be monitored by Athletic Trainer on site. Radar screen will be located in Athletics Office.
3. Decision to delay/cancel race will be made by a minimum of two committee members on the day of the race.
   One person will be Mary Mahaffey, chairperson, and the other will be from the Athletics Department.
4. The race will follow CFBISD Lightning Policy. See PDF file attached.
5. Should there be inclement weather that necessitates moving people temporarily:
   1. Student volunteers and unaccompanied minors will move to the tunnel
   2. All other participants will return to their cars.
   3. Mary Grimes Education Center will be used as overflow facility for weather protection
   4. All of the above will be communicated on race day to attendees through the PA system during the course of the morning.
6. Kacie’s Run will pay all vendors, even if event is cancelled.
7. Kacie’s Run reserves the right to not start the course in the event of an emergency and will not refund monies to participants
