The purpose of this dashboard is to provide our Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD families and staff with a daily transparent summary of in-person COVID-19 test-confirmed positive cases. A test-confirmed positive case indicates that the student or staff member has been tested and received a report confirming that they are positive for the COVID-19 virus. These individuals will be isolated and quarantined in accordance with the CDC, Dallas County Health and Human Services Department, and Denton County Health and Human Services Department.
The numbers listed on the dashboard are on-campus positive cases. Guidance for this tracking is from the Texas Education Agency as of September 10, 2020:
Per the Texas Education Agency, "The COVID-19 case report form should be utilized for on-campus cases. If a LEA (Local Education Agency) is offering virtual instruction, you do not need to report students that were never physically on one of your campuses."
Federal and state privacy laws protect patient information. As a result, we are not able to share the identity of any COVID-19 positive cases. If you were in close contact with a COVID-19 positive case, you would be notified by the campus nurse, per TEA guidelines.
Per the Texas Education Agency, staff and students reporting positive test-confirmed COVID cases during the winter break will not be added to the dashboard.
