No. The U.S. Supreme Court’s Plyler v. Doe ruling guarantees all children the constitutional right to have equal access to a public education, regardless of their immigration status.

No. Public school districts like CFB must enroll students regardless of immigration status and without discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.

No. CFB does not collect immigration documentation or status.

Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), schools are restricted from sharing student information with federal agencies, including ICE, without parental consent or a subpoena.

While CFB is assessing the impact of the new policy change that overrides schools, churches and hospitals as “sensitive areas,” federal authorities will be treated the same way any other law enforcement officer is treated and not allowed in our schools without the proper legal documentation.

Bullying is prohibited by the district. If a student believes that they have experienced bullying or has witnessed bullying of another student, it is important for the student and/or parent to notify a teacher, counselor, principal, or another district employee as soon as possible. Reports can also be sent via the Anonymous Alerts app.
