The Creekview Mustangs made program history this year, finishing with a 9-1 overall record and a 7-1 district record.

“To get nine wins—that’s never been done at Creekview,” Head Coach Dusty Ortiz said. “Our team has completely changed the standard for Creekview football by making history and doing it the right way—with heart, toughness, and belief in one another.”

The Mustangs will host their first-ever home playoff game against Frisco Reedy at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, at Standridge Stadium.

“Our kids have earned this moment, and we’re excited for the opportunity to keep making history in the playoffs,” Ortiz said. “We couldn’t be prouder of this group and what they’ve accomplished.”

The Newman Smith Trojans continued their winning legacy, qualifying for the playoffs for the third consecutive year after finishing the regular season with a 6-4 overall record and a 6-2 district record.

“Our kids and coaches have poured a tremendous amount of time and effort into earning this playoff berth,” Head Coach Robert Boone said. “I’m proud of how we’ve stayed together through the highs and lows of the season. We’ll continue to use every experience to sharpen our edge as we enter the playoffs.”

The Trojans will face the Wakeland Wolverines in the first round at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 14, at The Star in Frisco.
