Metrocrest Hospital Authority (MHA) awarded a $541,000 grant to CFBISD.
The funding will provide:
- An additional counselor to provide increased services for CFBISD's evening Counseling Connections Center
- A district substance abuse counselor to serve students who need preventative and responsive services
- A district crisis counselor to join the crisis team and serve our elementary students
- Communities in School social workers to support multiple campuses
- A registered nurse to teach and mentor our students in the Biomed Academy
“MHA places a high value on developing partnerships with nonprofit organizations in the community to enhance the quality of life for residents of the Metrocrest service area, particularly Carrollton and Farmers Branch,” said John Mahalik, MHA CEO. “We’re pleased to be able to support these organizations that provide important resources and services to our community.”
