CFBISD’s Technology Services Department manages technology infrastructure that boasts 52 miles of 10 Gbps Internet Fiber throughout the district, works with more than 165 different software vendors, and oversees 37,000 networked devices across CFB.

The department provides agile, responsive systems ensuring students and staff have access to technological resources and the skills needed to thrive in a constantly evolving technological landscape.

“Technology allows us to share knowledge and information, build learning communities, and create a culture of collaboration,” said Dr. Robin Stout, Senior Director of Digital Learning.

Because of CFB’s Technology Services, students have the resources needed to enhance their academic achievement and teachers have support to integrate technology effectively.

“Technology integration enhances opportunities for student-centered learning,” said Scott Monroe, Chief of Technology. “With tools such as learning management systems, educational cloud services, digital content, mobile devices, and emerging technologies, students can develop learning pathways to match their circumstances and learning styles. This target area focuses on modernizing systems, pedagogy and practices infused with technology in support of the CFBISD Five That Drive framework.”
