McKamy Elementary students explore STEM through interactive experiments

Students at McKamy Elementary School got to trade their textbooks for lab coats during an interactive STEM Day experience. Hosted by Lennox and supported by Metrocrest Services, the event gave students a unique, hands-on opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and math concepts.

Volunteers divided the students into stations, where the young scientists eagerly participated in several fun experiments, such as creating a lava lamp, mixing ice cream in a bag, and—the overwhelming favorite—making slime.

“It’s inspiring to see our students’ excitement when they explore something new,” said McKamy Principal Alex Klarer. “Opportunities like this nurture their curiosity and remind us why hands-on learning is so powerful.”
