Incredible Construction Project at McWhorter Elementary Now Complete

The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District is proud to announce construction and renovations at McWhorter Elementary in Carrollton is complete. The project has given the campus major improvements to allow students and teachers to excel.

The construction project added many improvements making it a showcase campus for CFBISD. The project emphasized three areas, including improvements to the exterior and interior, safety and security upgrades and upgraded technology.

  • Access control and cameras on exterior doors

  • Fire alarm system upgrades

  • Cabling upgrades
  • Wireless upgrades
  • Phone system upgrades
  • New intercom and PA system

The Facilities Department in CFBISD added special touches of their own, making McWhorter Elementary unique and special for its students. Special functional designs, graphics and exterior elements give the school a modern feel. 

The campus's visual highlight is the specially designed life-sized wooden tree in the library that overlooks a special reading area for the students. The tree will encourage young learners to visit the library for years to come.

The McWhorter Elementary construction project was made possible by the incredible support of our CFBISD community. Monies used for this project were from the 2018 Bond funds.
