CFBISD shares social media threats PSA video with families

Hey CFB Families, many of you know, our school district and other districts in the area have experienced a rise in false threats against our schools on social media.

These false threats of violence cause unnecessary panic and confusion for our students, staff, and families.

In light of recent events, we’ve produced a Public Service Announcement video with the help of our Safety and Security Department, and neighboring police departments to raise awareness of this issue, and discourage the sharing of false threats on social media.

Students, if you hear a rumor about a threat or see it on social media, don’t share it. Instead, report it to a teacher, principal, or school resource officer.

Parents, if you see a post referencing your child’s school. know that the district and law enforcement are actively working to determine its credibility—and you will be kept informed throughout. Keep your contact information updated through ParentSquare, the district’s official parent communication platform.

We want our CFBISD students and parents to be informed and know what to do if they come across any threats on social media. #CFBsafe
