CFBISD provides Bond updates

During the June board meeting, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD administration presented an update on the progress of 2023 Bond projects, highlighting continued progress on renovations, replacements and safety improvements.

To date, 13 campuses with bond-funded projects are substantially complete, with an additional ten campuses expected to be completed this summer. Among those projects moving forward is the upcoming construction at Farmers Branch Elementary School and Grimes/Salazar Learning Center. Students at these campuses can look forward to modern, up-to-date learning spaces designed for their specific educational needs.

The update also highlighted major milestones and upcoming timelines for other district facilities approved by voters in the 2023 Bond. Early childhood additions at Thompson and Las Colinas elementary schools are currently in the permitting phase, continuing the district’s investment in innovative learning environments for future generations of CFBISD students. Complex permitting requirements have delayed the start of work at the Outdoor Learning Center, with work now projected to begin in February of 2027.
