On Friday, Aug. 14, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) will release Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD’s 2026 District and Campus Ratings and announce the district achieved a B rating (81) for the second year in a row. CFBISD is proud to share that nearly 70% of district campuses received an A or B, demonstrating ongoing academic progress across the district. 

“Maintaining our B rating is a direct testament to the daily work happening in our classrooms” said Superintendent Dr. Wendy Eldredge. “We are incredibly proud of these results and this rating reflects our collective commitment to academic excellence.”

“Our consistent high performance is attributed to focused instructional leadership development, effective use of standards-aligned curriculum resources, strategic data-informed actions and goal-focused approaches that support student achievement across the district,” added Assistant Superintendent of Leadership and Learning Dr. Kim Holcomb. “This year’s ratings also reflect continued academic progress despite the impact of four campus consolidations and rezoning.”

2026 Accountability Celebrations

The 2026 Accountability Ratings reflect the hard work of CFBISD students, staff and families. The district is proud of the following campus rating highlights:

• Landry Elementary School saw the largest increase in the district, skyrocketing from a C (77) to a B (84)

• Creekview High School jumped from a B (88) to an A (93), becoming the first comprehensive high school to achieve the highest rating since the A-F rating system was introduced

• Carrollton Elementary School increased from a B (88) to an A (90)

• Good Elementary School soared from a B (87) to an A (90)

The district’s high schools continued to demonstrate strong academic performance. All five high schools earned an A or B rating in the 2026 results, including Creekview and Early College high schools with A ratings, and Ranchview, Smith, and Turner high schools with B ratings. Mary Grimes Educational Center maintained a B rating, reflecting sustained growth since receiving a D rating in 2023.

Not only did all high schools show strong academic performance, but 97% of  students graduated College, Career, and Military Ready (CCMR) and the district is projected to retain its A rating in CCMR for the second year in a row.

“Our College, Career, and Military Readiness rate is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, counselors, campus leaders, families, and community partners,” said Executive Director of Advanced Academics & Post-Secondary Readiness Chad Hunter. “Achievements like this truly take a village. We are proud of the collective commitment across CFBISD to ensure every student doesn’t just graduate, but has options and choices toward economic success.”

At the middle school level, Vivian Field Middle School maintained a B (86), while Blalack and Perry middle schools also earned B ratings. Additionally, the district saw gains across all middle schools in seventh- and eighth-grade STAAR Reading and Language Arts (RLA) approaches and above of 2% and 3%, respectively.

Several elementary campuses also demonstrated notable accomplishments. McWhorter Elementary School saw the second-largest increase in overall accountability rating, rising by five points from last year. Six elementary schools also earned A ratings, including Blair, Carrollton, Good, Kent, Las Colinas and Rainwater. In addition, seven elementary schools earned B ratings. 

Next Steps

CFBISD celebrates these successes across the district and is committed to working collaboratively to continuously improve student outcomes. District staff will continue to review and analyze the 2026 data and identify opportunities to strengthen instruction.
