CFBISD Live Sports

Numerous people are apprehensive about attending large events due to COVID-19. With high school sports being very popular in Texas, many do not want to miss their favorite teams compete. To help with this dilemma, the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District will be streaming a selection of varsity athletic events during the fall season. High school football and volleyball can be found on CFBISD's newly launched YouTube channels.

CFBISD has already broadcasted varsity volleyball games from high school gyms and varsity home football games at Standridge Stadium. Each high school was given an athletic YouTube channel along with channels for each of their varsity sports.

Fans of the teams can visit the YouTube channels to subscribe so they do not miss a live event. Users can also select to get reminders of each event that is scheduled to stream. YouTube also will archive each video so parents, students, and the community can watch a replay of the games whenever they desire.

Live video to YouTube is available due to upgrades at Standridge Stadium and each high school gym. Standridge Stadium utilizes a Tricaster that allows direct streaming to YouTube. All high school gyms have been equipped with Hudl Focus to record and broadcast volleyball and basketball games live.

Now fans in CFBISD will never have to miss their favorite teams compete. This will also allow more of our athletes to be noticed by college athletic programs across the country, which makes live streaming a benefit to the community and all of our high school athletes.
