CFBISD Educational Foundation awards more than $70,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors

Thanks to the generosity of its donors, this year, the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Educational Foundation awarded 58 scholarships totaling more than $70,000 to seniors in the Class of 2026 across the district.

“The CFBISD Educational Foundation deeply appreciates the support of our donors and volunteers,” said Executive Director Donna Wald. “Simply put, this initiative would not be possible without their generosity. It is incredibly moving for our donors to meet their scholarship recipients. There are always plenty of happy tears and cheers.”

As part of their application process, students shared their future goals, achievements, and aspirations through an online application and letters of recommendation. School counselors also supported students by providing test scores and class rank information as part of the process.

Some donors participated in selection committees to help recommend recipients, while the Foundation’s Board of Directors made the final selections from a slate of candidates.

“The CFBISD community and Educational Foundation are proud to coordinate this program each year,” Wald said. “Scholarships represent an important milestone in the lives of these students, and this financial support can make a meaningful difference as they transition into the next chapter after graduation.”

Since 1997, CFBISD's Educational Foundation has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to graduating seniors. These scholarships not only support students in pursuing their dreams, but also reflect the community’s continued investment in the future of our students.
