CFBISD campus leaders honored in Austin during Lone Star Ribbon awards ceremony

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Superintendent Wendy Eldredge joined campus leaders Kent Elementary School, and Dreama Mayfield, principal of Rosemeade Elementary School, in Austin on Friday, Jan. 30, to receive Lone Star Ribbon School awards recognizing both campuses for outstanding academic achievement.

“This recognition for Kent and Rosemeade elementaries reflects the collective efforts of our students, staff and families,” Dr. Eldredge said. “It is a testament to the dedication of our educators and campus leaders who work every day to ensure student success.”

The Lone Star Ribbon School designation honors campuses that demonstrate high levels of academic achievement and student growth, while supporting the whole child.

“This award represents the hard work and commitment of our entire school community,” Williams said. “Our students and teachers have earned this recognition through collaboration, innovation and a shared focus on learning.”

Mayfield added that the honor reflects the strength of partnerships across both the campus and the district.

“We are proud to represent CFBISD and to be recognized alongside so many outstanding schools across Texas,” Mayfield said. “This achievement belongs to our students, staff and families.”

The Lone Star Ribbon Schools were announced in September. CFBISD’s recognition as the sole North Texas district with multiple campuses earning the honor underscores the district’s continued focus on academic excellence.
