Students from Barbara Bush Middle School competed in the National TSA (Technology Student Association) competition in Orlando, Florida over the summer.
This is the first time the district has sent middle school students to a national CTSO (Career & Technical Student Organization) competition after qualifying in the state tournament. Led by Mr. Charles Taylor, these students earned multiple honors at the competition.

2nd place in coding (Grishitha Godwin & Keziah Thomas)
3rd place in Essay in Technology (Joyce Yang)
3rd place in Challenging Technology (Anvika Gadamsetty & Raksha Sriram)
4th place in STEM Automation (Kenayah Langa, Cameron Ates, & Sofia Sierra).
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national organization of students engaged in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). TSA’s membership includes more than 300,000 middle and high school students across the United States. TSA high school competitions and middle school competitions are categorized by careers in Architecture and Construction Technology, Communications Technology, Computer Science and Information Technology, Leadership, Manufacturing and Transportation Technology, STEM (General), STEM and the Arts, and Technology and Research. Members learn through exciting competitive events, leadership opportunities, and much more.
