Student innovators from Barbara Bush Middle School delivered a standout performance at the 48th annual Technology Student Association (TSA) National Conference this summer, securing a top-three finish on the national stage.

Representing the school’s Institute of Technology and Engineering (ITE) program, five student teams traveled to the nation's capital to compete against the country's premier middle school talent. Three of those teams advanced to the top 14 finalists in their respective events, headlined by the Website Design team, which placed third in the nation and brought home a national trophy to the campus.

"This remarkable achievement reflects the hard work of our students, the support of their families, and the commitment of our teachers and mentors," said Charles Taylor, Bush Middle School's TSA advisor. "Competing on the national stage is an incredible accomplishment, and we congratulate all of our participants for representing Barbara Bush Middle School with excellence."

The Institute of Technology and Engineering at Barbara Bush Middle School is a specialized program designed for students passionate about technology and engineering. The program integrates hands-on learning experiences with advanced coursework, including honors-level math and science, to complete high school-level Algebra 1 by the eighth grade.
