Applications are now being accepted for CFBISD's STEAM Gifted and Talented Academy at Landry Elementary.

This exciting program housed at Landry Elementary is designed to serve CFBISD's Academic Creative Education (ACE) Gifted and Talented (GT) students. 

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. This academy offers the unique opportunity for ACE-identified students to learn with their academic peers with an enriched curriculum in the four content areas: Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. The STEAM Academy is available to students in grades 1 through 5 and allows students to take advantage of the enriched Imagine Fine Arts curriculum combined with technology and engineering extensions.

At the STEAM Academy, five specially selected teachers use student-centered instruction to guide ACE GT students to their highest learning levels. This holistic approach exercises both sides of your GT student's brain at once! The STEAM experience also includes enrichment such as dance, theater, music, art, STEMscopes, LEGOs, and the Texas Performance Standards Projects.
