A quest for success: CFBISD fuels students during National School Breakfast Week

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD fueled student success last week during National School Breakfast Week. As part of a nationwide campaign, this year’s theme, “Quest for School Breakfast,” encouraged students to start their day strong in the cafeteria.

The initiative, organized by the CFBISD Student Nutrition department, paired daily themed dress-up days with special menu items to highlight the district’s breakfast offerings.

To reward students, every campus cafeteria selected five winners each morning to receive snack coupons. These vouchers allowed students to redeem any $1.00 a la carte item during their lunch period.

"National School Breakfast Week is the perfect time to show our appreciation," said CFBISD Chef Yeshenia Gallardo. "Giving away five daily coupons for a free a la carte item is a small gesture to celebrate the community we’ve built in our cafeterias. It’s a joy to see students excited about their morning meal, and we want them to know how much we value them."

While the special week has concluded, free breakfast is available daily to all CFBISD students. Additionally, every complete meal consumed this semester serves as an entry into the district’s ongoing "Eat to Win" contest.
