Device Protection Plan

Protection plan rates are influenced by the expense of the device, the repairs, the labor hours and the price of the parts. If any of those underlying costs go up, protection plan rates may increase as well.

No, the Device Protection Plan is not required. It is, however, highly encouraged. 

Yes, all students qualify.

It is recommended that you still purchase device protection as we have seen several students break devices while on campus.

We encourage all to purchase the Device Protection Plan to ensure coverage of any CFBISD devices your student uses at school or at home.

The $30 fee applies to each student.

No discounts are available for multiple students. 

Per our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) / Data Use Agreement (DUA), each student is responsible for their device. In the case of device misconduct from another student, please contact Technology Services.

No. The Device Protection Plan covers one replacement device due to accidental loss or damage. If a replacement device is issued, families can re-purchase the plan for the next school year. 

No. The Device Protection Plan is not included for students with a Fast Pass.
