Student Eligibility for 1:1 Program
In order to remain eligible to participate in CFBISD's 1:1 program, students/families must meet certain requirements each year. These requirements include:
-
Signing the Device Use Agreement
-
Signing the Student Responsible Use Policy
-
Paying the Device Usage Fee (when applicable)
-
Having no outstanding balance of technology fines or fees on their account
If a student does not meet ALL of the requirements above, the student will NOT be issued a device.
Device Usage Fee Information
CFBISD has identified the need to collect a device use fee from students/families to ensure the sustainability and maintenance of the technology resources provided as part of the district’s 1:1 program. As the district continues integrating digital tools into their curriculum, the cost of acquiring, upgrading, and repairing these devices becomes significant. A device use fee helps offset these expenses, ensuring that all students have access to up-to-date and functioning technology necessary for modern learning environments thereby enhancing the overall educational experience and bridging the digital divide among students.

Other Important Information
If a student does not have a signed Device Use Agreement on file, that student may NOT access any CFBISD network while on campus for any reason.
If a student has a signed Device Use Agreement on file, but is still ineligible to receive a device, one may be provided ONLY for state and local assessments.
Regardless of participation in the 1:1 program, all students are responsible for completing coursework and assignments. Teachers are not expected to provide alternate assignments for students.
