This program is offered as part of the Fire Academy. There are two pathways in the program, one that has dual credit and one doesn't. This four year plan can be used as an example to help plan your high school career.

Students will attend a local junior college and earn dual hours toward their Basic Firefighter Certification.

Dual credit courses will start in the 25-26 school year.

Students will attend a local junior college and earn dual hours toward their Basic Firefighter Certification and Emergency Medical Technical certification.

Dual credit courses will start in the 25-26 school year.

Students will have the opportunity to take dual credit courses to earn their Basic Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician Certification through a local community college. After successful completion of the program, and after they turn 18 they are eligible to be hired by fire departments.

If the course is a 1 credit course it will take one class period.
If it is a 2 credit course it will take up 2 class periods.
If it is a 3 credit course it will take up 3 class periods.
