Refunds or Transfers
Refunds and Balance transfers can be handled on the SchoolCafe website, or on your phone using the SchoolCafe app.
If a parent would like to have unused funds that have been deposited on a student’s meal account refunded, they can request a refund at any time on the parent/user’s School Cafe account by selecting Transfer or Request Unused Funds under the student’s name.
NOTE: The Transfer or Request Unused Funds feature does not appear if there are no unused funds on his/her meal account (i.e. the student’s account balance is $0.00 or less).
If a student moves out of the district, any funds remaining on a student’s meal account can be refunded or transferred to another CFBISD student on the parent/user’s School Cafe account. Parents should request a refund or transfer on the parent/user’s School Cafe account. Requests for refunds will be processed upon receipt. After verifying the availability of the funds on the student meal account, a check for the remaining balance will be mailed to the requestor at the address provided on the request.
NOTE: Parents should expect to receive the mailed refund check within three (3) to four (4) weeks of submitting the refund request.
Refunds on school meal accounts will not be issued in the serving line on campus.
