District Annual Report
The Texas Education Code (TEC), §39.306, requires each school district’s Board of Trustees to publish an annual performance report that includes the TAPR report; campus performance objectives and the progress toward those objectives; district accreditation status; campus distinction designation and ratings; the district’s current special education compliance status; report on violent or criminal incidents; and information from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Data and information presented within the 2020-21 District Annual Report was generated from 2020-21 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) released by Texas Education Agency.
The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District held a public hearing on the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) during the regularly scheduled District Improvement Council meeting at 5:00 PM on Monday, January 24, 2022.
TAPR
Prepared and released by Texas Education Agency (TEA) annually, the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) details academic performance, financial reports, and information about staff, programs, and demographics for the district and each campus.
TAPR academic performance includes information on STAAR test results and participation rates. The report disaggregates performance on state and national assessments across fourteen student groups based on race/ethnicity, socio-economic status, and program services.
Within Postsecondary Readiness, TAPR combines attendance, dropout and graduation rates, along with course completion rates for students earning advanced/dual credit, completed career and technology (CTE) coherent sequence, and Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate (AP/IB) prior to high school graduation. Additional information on postsecondary enrollment is also provided under Postsecondary Outcomes.
TAPR campus and district resources can be accessed at TEA’s website: Search from TEA’s website.

School Report Card
The School Report Card (SRC) is prepared and released by Texas Education Agency (TEA) annually in December. SRC combines accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to give a broad view of campus performance. Available for each campus in Texas, the SRC is intended specifically to inform parents and guardians about a school’s individual characteristics and its academic performance.
School and student information provides demographic data about the campus, including attendance rates; enrollment percentages for various student groups; student mobility rates; and class size averages at the campus, district, and state level, where applicable.
School Report Cards for each CFBISD campus can be accessed at TEA’s website: Search from TEA’s website.
