Compensation Plan

To ensure a strategic and efficient allocation of resources, the Human Resources department collaborated with the Texas Association of School Boards to establish the foundation for the district’s compensation plan.
The updated pay structure is designed to promote pay equity and enhance market competitiveness by aligning job midpoints with current market data. As part of this effort, the plan includes a revised hiring schedule to guide teacher salary placement, as well as a midpoint-based pay structure for non-teaching positions to ensure alignment with prevailing market rates.
Compensation plan highlights:
- Teachers: Average of 6.2% increase (Starting pay for first-year teachers is $62,000)
- 0-2 years of experience - $1,250 increase
- 3-4 years of experience - $2,500 increase
-
5+ years of experience - $5,000 increase
-
Non-teaching positions: 2% of midpoint general compensation increase
-
Bus drivers: Average of 8.6% increase to a starting pay of $24 an hour
-
Health insurance: An increase of $25 per month for the health insurance premium contribution
The district is dedicated to reviewing the comprehensive compensation plan annually and updating it as needed to recruit new employees and remain competitive.
