General Maintenance/Carpentry Department are essential to ensure safety and functionality of our buildings, with our preventative maintenance program and future improvement projects we can impact the learning environment and the health and safety of students and staff in a positive way. General Maintenance/Carpentry duties are taking care of the following:
- Roof leaks and ceiling tile
- Driveways, Sidewalks, Parking Lots
- Exterior and Interior Painting, graffiti vandalism
- Tile and carpet flooring
- Locks and door hardware,
- Playground repair and surfacing
- Window repairs
- Fencing
- Office and classroom repairs
Electrical Department

The Electrical department plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe environment for our students and educators at our facilities with minimal disruption. For the past year we have been concentrating on LED replacement for efficiency and quality. Our tasks include:
- Exterior lighting
- Interior lighting
- Interior power and devices
- Distribution panels
- Fire alarm systems
- Power outages
- Tripped breakers
- Burning smells
- Fire and security alarm malfunctions.
We work closely with other departments in the district to provide in-house electrical services.
HVAC/Mechanical Department

Our HVAC Service Department is solely responsible for maintaining a comfortable learning environment in all district classrooms and office areas year-round. The district has 6 thousand plus units that cover 5.2 million square feet. Our tasks include:
- Preventative maintenance on all rooftop units and VRF systems
- Hot or cold service request
- Building Automation System and after hour scheduling
- Exhaust and ventilation systems
- Walk-in and coolers freezers
- Ice Machines
After-hours scheduling requests should be submitted at least one week in advance.
The district standard set points are 72 to 78 degrees

The plumbing department is responsible for maintaining and servicing water, sewer, gas, and fire suppression systems to ensure proper operation and code compliance of facilities for the safety of students and staff.

The Grounds Department is responsible for the maintenance of all 820+ acres of campus and athletic grounds to ensure that the districts outdoor areas are safe, attractive, and well-maintained for students, staff, and visitors. Our tasks include:
- Mowing and trimming lawns
- Pruning trees and shrubs
- Maintaining flowers and landscaping
- Managing pest and weeds
- Upkeep and painting of athletic fields

Energy is a significant expense in CFBISD, and it is the responsibility of facility support to proactively explore ways to consolidate energy consumption. To enhance energy efficiency, the involvement of students, faculty, staff, and administration is crucial. The Energy Manager plays a key role in achieving these objectives by:
- Conducting Energy Audits
- Implementing Energy Conservation Measures
- Monitoring and Analyzing Energy Data
- Identifying Energy Efficiency Projects
- Developing Behavioral Change Programs
- Ensuring Reporting and Compliance with consumption levels
