Promises Made. Promises Kept.

promises made promises kept logo

At Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, when we make promises, we keep them.

This includes being good stewards of the resources provided to us by the taxpayers and the confidence entrusted in us by our community. Thanks to community support on the November 2018 bond election, CFBISD has been able to continue its established tradition of modernizing and updating schools as they age and need improvements.

Here’s what we promised:

safety and security

Safety and Security Enhancements

  • Access Controls

  • Video Intercom

  • Intrusion Alarm

  • Secure Entry

  • Lockdown Button

Facility Improvements

Facility Improvements

Technology Infrastructure

  • Server Space

  • Cabling

  • Wireless and Phone Upgrades

These projects were completed without raising CFBISD’s tax rate.

tax rate history

The district’s current tax rate is the lowest it’s been in 31 years, and is 24 cents lower than it was when voters approved the 2018 bond program.

Looking to the future.

In August 2022, CFBISD organized the Citizen’s Bond Planning Committee to study the facility needs of the school district and ultimately present a recommendation to the CFBISD Board of Trustees for consideration.

The group of 60 citizens — made up of parents, senior citizens, community leaders, staff members and students — met nine times over six months to develop their recommendation for a $716.4 million bond program to be called in May 2023.
