School Recognition Days
The state has introduced new mandatory recognition days for Texas public schools under House Resolution 64. To ensure full district-wide compliance, these dates have already been added to CFBISD district and campus calendars.
Please note the following guidelines:
- Required curriculum: For certain mandatory dates, the state requires specific classroom curriculum to be utilized. The CFBISD Social Studies Department provides this curriculum to campuses in advance of each date.
- Campus flexibility: For recognition days that do not require curriculum, campuses may choose how to participate. Options include celebrating in person, posting on social media, or simply acknowledging the day via the campus calendar.
