Facility Rules

1. Respect and follow lifeguard instructions & all posted signage.
2. No Running, Rough Play, or Fighting on deck or in the water.
3. No diving in water less than 8 feet.
4. Proper swim attire is required.
5. Swimming underneath the bulkhead is dangerous and prohibited.
6. Public Lap Swim:

  • No Lifeguard on duty for lap swim hours during the school year; August - May.
  • Individuals 16 or older must be actively participating in lap swimming or water exercise during lap swim hours.

7. Standridge Stadium Track is open to the public during lunch lap swim hours.
8. Bullying, abusive language and/or threats will not be tolerated.
9. Persons under the age of 14 must not be in the pool without adult supervision.
10. No facemask or tempered glass.
11. Glass items are not allowed on the pool deck.
12. All CFBISD pool equipment is for aquatic classes, and may only be used for other activities with the approval of Natatorium Staff.
13. Extended breath holding activities are dangerous and prohibited.
14. Non-service animals are prohibited. All animals are prohibited in the pool.
15. Changing diapers in, on, or within 6 feet of the pool is prohibited.
16. Do not drink water from the water feature(s).
17. Do not swim if you have been ill with diarrhea within the past 2 weeks.
18. Swimmers must stay off lane ropes, safety lines, and guard chairs.
19. Coaches, swimmers, meet officials, timers, and staff are allowed on deck. Spectators are not permitted on the pool deck for any reason.
20. CFBISD is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
21. All individuals must follow CFBISD District Policies.
22. All individuals must obey the rules & regulations listed above and follow instructions given by any member of the CFBISD Natatorium Staff.

Diving Board Rules

1. One person on the board at a time.
2. One bounce per person.
3. Moving the fulcrum on the boards is not allowed. Fulcrum must stay in the forward position.
4. No diving with goggles or life jackets.
5. A swim test may be given before the individual is allowed to use the diving board.
6. No hanging off the end of the diving board.
7. After diving, swim directly to the nearest ladder/edge of the pool.
8. Wait until the previous diver has cleared the area below the board and has reached the ladder/edge of the pool.
9. All individuals must jump forward off the board. Jumping or diving from the side of the board or towards a wall is prohibited.
10. 3-meter Diving Board: If an individual climbs the ladder all the way to the top, they must go off the diving board. Individuals are not allowed to come back down the ladder.
11. All individuals must obey the rules & regulations listed above and follow instructions given by any member of the CFBISD Natatorium Staff.
