Educational Foundation Awards Scholarships to Graduates

Since 1997, the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Educational Foundation has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors of CFBISD.  To commemorate this 25-year milestone, the Educational Foundation is awarding $100,000 to nearly 100 graduating seniors and rising seniors in CFBISD for their college/university plans.

"The CFBISD Educational Foundation greatly appreciates the support of our donors and our volunteers," said Donna Wald, the foundation's executive director. "Simply said, this initiative would not be possible without the generosity and benevolence of others.  It’s so moving for our donors to meet their scholarship recipients.  It’s a powerful experience that is both humbling and emotional. There are many happy tears and cheers.”

These scholarships make a significant impact in the lives of our students and soon-to-be CFBISD alums. As one recipient shared, "Thank you so much for this opportunity – I’m so excited for this scholarship!  I have always dreamt of a career in engineering and this scholarship will help me in my first year of college as I work toward achieving my goals.  I hope one day to be able to give back to the school district that helped me achieve my dreams!"

Scholarships represent an important step in the lives of these recipients. The CFBISD community and Educational Foundation are thrilled to coordinate this program!
