Educational Foundation Student Scholarships

Student Scholarships

The Educational Foundation offers a range of scholarships, including those for civic, business, individuals, and more. All scholarships require the use of the CFBISD online scholarship application. Students must fill out this online application to assess their eligibility. Applications will be available starting in late fall and will conclude in early spring. Available Scholarships

This scholarship is awarded to CFB students with prior Rotary experience that includes any of the following: Attendee to RYLA by CFB Rotary or Farmers Branch Rotary; Member of Interact Club or Rotaract Club sponsored by CFB Rotary; Participant in CFB Rotary Mentorship or Rotary Youth Exchange Program.  Multiple annual awards are possible.

This memorial scholarship is to be awarded to a CFBISD Senior graduating from Newman Smith High School who was a student athlete.  Preference will be given to Soccer participants.

To be awarded to a CFBISD Senior who attended Freeman Elementary School for a minimum of 1 year with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

To be awarded to a student from RL Turner who has been active in the CFBISD Orchestra.  The student must have a GPA of at least a 3.0.

To be awarded to a student with plans to pursue a degree in  Science; Technology; Engineering; Mathematics or Skilled trades or become a teacher in one of these fields of study.

Turner student with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Student must be planning to pursue a degree in business. Applicant must demonstrate active community and school service.

Creekview senior with a 2.5 GPA or higher. Student must list honors/awards in application as well as school and community service and activities. Essay required when filling out application.

CFBISD graduating senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Must be from a single parent household. Financial need, leadership, and community service will be considered.

Graduating senior from Mary Grimes. The applicant must be a current HSEP completer through Mary Grimes and plans to attend a two-year or four-year college or university or a vocational/technical school. Essay required when filling out application.

CFBISD Graduating senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Student must take at least 3 years of a World Language. Financial need, community and school service will be considered. Essay required when filling out application.

Turner student with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Student must have a minimum or 4-6 community service hours/semester, have a minimum or 6 months work experience, and be a member of a minimum of two RLT organizations.

Student should demonstrate leadership and school involvement through school leadership activities, membership and offices in extracurricular activities. Student should also be involved in community service activities. Essay required when filling out application

Early College High School Student.  Student with 2.5 GPA or higher. Applicant must abide by the ECHS Code of Ethics.  400 word essay required when filling out application.

NSHS student with a 3.25 GPA or higher and a 95% attendance rate during high school. Student must participate in at least one varsity sport at NSHS and be involved in extracurricular, school-sponsored activities.

Ranchview senior who demonstrates academic achievement. The committee will consider GPA, class rank, and advanced coursework taken. Student must demonstrate school and community service and involvement.

CFBISD graduating senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Must major in Vocal Music Education and plan to pursue a career as an elementary and/or secondary school music teacher or music administrator. Applicant must attend a Texas State-supported college or university. Essay required when filling out application.

Student scholarship recipient decisions are made through a rigorous review process conducted by the CFBISD Educational Foundation. Please note that some scholarships may not be available or may not be awarded to the full amount due to limited to fund balance availability, revised donor agreements or endowment committee decisions.
