Dr. Wendy Eldredge was appointed Superintendent of Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD in March 2023.  Her distinguished education career spans over three decades. Prior to her current role, Dr. Eldredge served as Superintendent of Crandall ISD from 2019 to 2023. Her extensive experience also includes positions such as Assistant Superintendent of Safety & Operations and Area Director in Garland ISD, overseeing a network of ten campuses and 8,200 students. Additionally, she has held principalships at two schools and an academy campus and has contributed significantly to curriculum research and development throughout her career. She began her career at Dallas ISD, becoming a teacher and curriculum specialist.

Dr. Eldredge earned a Doctorate of Curriculum & Instruction and a Superintendent's Certificate from Texas A&M-Commerce, a Master's in Educational Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kansas State University. She is committed to lifelong learning and has completed several Harvard University Graduate School of Education programs, including "The Art of Leadership, School Turnaround, and Leadership: An Evolving Vision."

During her tenure at CFBISD, Dr. Eldredge's leadership played a pivotal role in securing the passage of a significant bond election in May 2023. Similarly, her leadership in Crandall ISD was instrumental in successfully passing a $365 million bond election in May 2022, which included constructing a new Fine Arts Center.

Dr. Eldredge has actively participated in leadership development programs, serving as Regional Director for Raise Your Hand Texas, a non-profit organization dedicated to identifying and scaling systemic improvements in public education. Her commitment to empowering women in leadership positions is exemplified by her past presidency of the Dallas-area Region 10 Chapter of the Texas Council of Women School Executives, and her involvement in Southern Methodist University's District Leadership Fellows program. Additionally, she holds an elected position on the Texas UIL Legislative Council.
