Twelve Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD students have earned the prestigious title of Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Musician, marking the district’s highest representation in eight years.
As the pinnacle of achievement for Texas music students, the All-State selection process is incredibly rigorous. This year, approximately 70,000 high school students competed through multiple audition rounds at the district, region, and area levels. The final 1,875 students selected represent the top 2.6% of initial auditioners, an elite group chosen to perform in one of 18 All-State ensembles.
These musicians will travel to San Antonio later this month for the 2026 TMEA Convention. After four days of intensive rehearsals with nationally recognized conductors, they will perform at the Henry B. González Convention Center before an audience of more than 30,000 music educators and attendees.
