Soccer in CFBISD Continues to Impress with Playoff Bound Teams

The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District has a strong and successful tradition in both boys and girls soccer. Over the past decade, our high school teams have been impressive in district play and the playoffs. The playoff appearances continue with five varsity soccer teams making the 2021 soccer playoffs.

Congratulations to the R. L. Turner boys and girls soccer teams, the Ranchview boys and girls soccer teams, and the Creekview Girls Soccer team for making it to the UIL State playoffs this season.

CFBISD is also proud of Coach Juan Gomez, Head Boys Coach at Turner, and Coach Krystal Mikeska Head Girls Coach at Turner, and their teams for each finishing second place in District 11-5A.

Kudos as well to Coach Drew Maher, Head Girls Coach at Creekview, and his team of Lady Mustangs, who came in fourth place in District 11-5A, and gaining a spot in the playoffs.

CFBISD would also like to congratulate our Ranchview Wolves soccer teams, as Coach Ritchie Sanchez, head Girls Coach, and Coach Jorge Baca-Armendariz, Head Boys Coach, coached their squads to a third-place finish in District 6-4A soccer.

Congratulations to all of our teams in CFBISD. Good luck on your journey toward the state championships.
