Retired school personnel honored at annual luncheon
Members from the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Retired School Personnel Association gathered on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Nancy Watten Technology and Event Center for the district’s appreciation luncheon.
The event featured a Thanksgiving-style lunch and tables decorated with student-made artwork. The annual luncheon allows the district to thank retirees for their contributions and provide them with opportunities to stay connected.
School Board President Randy Schackmann led the invocation while Superintendent Dr. Wendy Eldredge delivered remarks. Retirees also enjoyed desserts, personally delivered by the principals seated at their tables.
“It is an honor to serve our retired school personnel,” Eldredge said. “We are so grateful for all that these individuals do to support our schools and community. They are an essential part of our CFB family.”
Guests were entertained by performances from the Creekview HS Mariachi Ensemble, McCoy ES Choir and the Vivian Field MS Dance Company. Directors from each campus spoke to the retirees about their programs and the students’ learning experiences.
CFBISD wants to thank all of our retired school personnel for their continued support and ongoing contributions to our school district. For more information about the CFB Retired School Personnel Association, please visit their website.
