Ranchview Student is Sharp as All American Fencer

Congratulations to Ranchview High School student, Srija Atluri, for being selected to USA Fencing's All American Second Team!

USA Fencing's All American program recognizes high school fencers across the country who have excelled at a high level. Athletes who receive this honor are the best high school fencers in the country. Student fencers at this level have superior skills, as well as excellent leadership and sportsmanship.

Atluri is a junior at Ranchview High School and has been fencing for six years. To make the All American Team, Srija had to accumulate both National and Regional points by competing in various fencing tournaments and competitions. All athletes selected for the USA All American Team must be in good academic standing at their school and display exceptional character as athletes, students, and community members.

Atluri practices every day, up to 20-25 hours per week, to heighten her skills. Atluri is a competitor. She loves the physical and mental challenges that fencing brings. Although she had to take a break from training due to quarantine, Atluri is ready to return to competition and is committed to continuing fencing and making the All American Team again next year.

Atluri is proud to be a part of CFBISD and Ranchview High School. Congratulations, Srija. Go Wolves!
