October is National School Principals' Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the important work that principals do. Principals play a vital role in our schools, setting the tone for learning and creating a positive environment for students and staff alike.
"Our principals are the heart and soul of our schools”, said Dr. Wendy Eldredge, Superintendent of Schools. “They work tirelessly to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed. During Principal Appreciation Month, we take the time to thank our principals for their hard work and dedication, and to recognize the important role that they play in our schools."
Here are just a few of the many ways that CFBISD principals contribute to our schools:
-
They set the vision for the school and develop a strategic plan to achieve that vision.
-
They build and maintain relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.
-
They create a safe and supportive learning environment.
-
They hire and develop teachers and other staff members.
-
They manage the school's budget and resources.
-
They oversee the implementation of curriculum and instruction.
-
They assess student progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure that all students are learning.
Principals' work is demanding and challenging, but it is also incredibly rewarding. They have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of their students and their school communities.
