During the week of Jan. 9, 250 middle school students throughout the district had the opportunity to compete in the CFBISD Academic University of Interscholastic League (UIL) contest this month.

The students competed in 17 different events that challenged them on extensions of content and skills that they had learned in the classroom. Administrators, students, staff and parents gathered together the week of Jan. 24 to celebrate the winners of each event. 

“We are extremely proud of all competitors who went above and beyond the classroom to join in this challenge,” said Stacy Carroll, Executive Director of Advanced Academics and World Languages.
