Meet the Department - Special Education

“We believe in us.”

That’s the motto of the CFBISD Special Education Department.

The department serves students with special needs by prioritizing accessibility and inclusivity. The team is dedicated to identifying disabilities and providing specially designed instruction for infants, toddlers, children and youth from birth through 21 years of age.

In addition to helping CFBISD students, the department is a regional host for Special Olympics bowling and track and field. On an annual basis, they also host Kacie’s Run, a 5K run and 1-mile family fun run in memory of Kacie Brekhus, with proceeds from the event benefiting the All Stars Special Olympics Team of CFBISD.
