Kent Elementary Teacher to Attend Holdsworth Center Teacher Retreat

Megan Crume, fourth-grade teacher at Kent Elementary School, has been selected to attend the Holdsworth Center’s teacher retreat on Lake Austin. From a pool of more than 2000 nominees, Crume was one of 150 teachers chosen to attend the retreat.

The retreat takes place in late October and will provide teachers from the Dallas/Fort Worth area with an opportunity to unplug, connect with peers and explore ways to enhance their well-being.

“I am excited about the opportunity to connect with teachers from across the metroplex,” Crume said. “These connections will provide a broader perspective on education and foster valuable collaboration throughout the year. This retreat will allow me to recharge and will positively impact my ability to lead both in my school and within CFBISD.”

Retreat participants will meet new friends, enjoy exquisite eats curated by the Holdsworth culinary team, and participate in experiences such as yoga, massages, animal snuggles, live music and a variety of other self-care sessions.

“I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and incredibly honored to have been nominated for this retreat,” Crume stated. “Working for CFBISD has been a rewarding experience, and I feel fortunate to collaborate with such talented and dedicated colleagues.”
