Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD held its annual service years celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Nancy Watten Technology and Event Center. The reception honored employees with five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service in the district. Combined, honorees celebrated more than 5,400 years working in CFBISD.
Guests enjoyed an assortment of sweet treats, including cake served by Ranchview HS culinary students, during the “Workaversary” event. Honorees also participated in an interactive photo booth to celebrate their night of recognition.
During the program, Superintendent Dr. Wendy Eldredge and Board President Randy Schackmann recognized the honorees, paying a special tribute to the five employees who achieved 35 years of service: Mark Baker, Elina Rodriguez, Susan Stout, Robert Thomas and Sherri Wilcox.
“It is an honor to celebrate our amazing staff who have dedicated so many years to our district,” Eldredge said. “We are grateful that our employees choose CFBISD as their home and enjoy being a part of our one big family.”
Honorees with five years of service received a signature pen engraved with CFBISD’s logo. Employees celebrating 10-35 years of service had the option of a sterling silver charm or keychain. As a special keepsake, 35-year honorees also received digital picture frames to fill with cherished memories of their time in the district. Additionally, the CFBISD Board of Trustees awarded vouchers to honorees based on their years of service.
