The Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Council of PTAs celebrated outstanding volunteers with lifetime service awards at their annual membership ceremony on May 6th. The ceremony took place at the Nancy Watten Technology and Event Center.

Awards were presented in the following categories:

Texas PTA Honorary Life Membership
This is the highest honor in Texas that can be bestowed upon an individual for outstanding service to children and youth by the PTA. The recipient need not be a member of the PTA but should be a person who has contributed significantly to the development of the work of the PTA. 

Texas PTA Extended Service Award
This award is presented to PTA members who continue to give outstanding service to the Texas PTA. The recipient must have been actively involved in the Texas PTA for 10 years and have already been awarded the Texas Honorary Life Membership.
