During the Sept. 3 board meeting, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD administration presented an update on the progress of 2023 Bond projects, highlighting continued work on renovations, replacements and safety improvements.

This summer marked the busiest season of the 2023 Bond program, with 19 projects under construction and 10 substantially complete.

The district also provided an update on the three replacement campuses included in the Bond, noting progress at Carrollton and Farmers Branch elementary schools, as well as work beginning at the new Grimes and Salazar learning center.

Major renovations included ongoing work at Blalack Middle School and Smith High School. Renovations at Turner High School are expected to be finished this winter. Fencing improvements at 11 elementary campuses were also substantially completed.
