Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD is proud to celebrate Native American Heritage Month throughout November.
In 1990, President George H.W. Bush approved a joint resolution designating November as National American-Indian Heritage Month, now known as Native American Heritage Month.
November is a time to celebrate the rich and diverse cultures, traditions and histories of Native American and native peoples. The month also highlights the unique challenges they have faced historically and in the present, as well as their resilience in overcoming these obstacles.
CFBISD believes in honoring our rich diversity by celebrating the significant moments and traditions of our students, families, staff and community year-round during nationally designated cultural months. Please visit our Celebrating Cultural Moments webpage to view stories, events and resources shared by members of our community.
