CFBISD Named Best Communities in Schools Award

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD was recently named a 2021 Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation. This is the fourteenth year the district has received this prestigious award.

The NAMM Foundation's Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) Award is a signature program of the organization.  The award recognizes and celebrates school districts and schools for their support and commitment to music education and efforts to assure access to music for all students as part of a well-rounded education.  CFBISD is one of only 686 districts across the nation, and one of only 81 districts in Texas to be honored.

“Providing equitable access in music education is a core belief of the Fine Arts department.  We are dedicated to ensure that all of our students experience the wonder of the arts and the positive impact they can have on their lives.”  said Brett Farr, Director of Fine Arts.

Criteria for receiving the national recognition include evaluating the teacher-student ratio, student demographics, participation rate, music facilities and teacher qualifications.

Congratulations CFBISD for receiving this prestigious award!
