All Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD campuses will observe new school hours starting in the 2025-26 school year.
New school hours are listed below:
- Elementary School: 7:30 a.m. – 2:55 p.m.
- Middle School: 8:10 a.m. – 3:35 p.m.
- High School: 8:40 a.m. – 4:05 p.m.
The new hours include a five-minute extension added to the end of the school day. In December 2024, CFBISD released an academic calendar survey to all stakeholders to gather feedback. The survey included two options, one of which extended the school day by five minutes. Additional minutes were required to build in contingency time for natural disasters or inclement weather.
After reviewing survey results, option two was presented to Trustees for approval in January 2025.
Stakeholder feedback and staggered transportation schedules guided the decision to add five minutes to the end of the school day.
