Carrollton-Farmers Branch Association for the Gifted and Talented is Recognized with State Award

The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District is pleased to announce that the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Association for the Gifted and Talented has been awarded The Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT) 2020 Parent Group of the Gifted Award.

The TAGT Parent Group of the Gifted Award is presented annually to an organized local or statewide parent group that has demonstrated outstanding efforts to support gifted students' advancement in schools and communities. The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Association for the Gifted and Talented embodies this commitment daily. CFBISD is proud that this group chooses to engage in the CFB Community.

The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Association for the Gifted and Talented was selected as the award recipient by the TAGT Awards Committee following an application process last month. Through the State Award Program, TAGT honors and recognizes outstanding individuals and groups that have demonstrated a commitment to Texas's gifted community. They will be recognized for this honor during an online awards celebration on December 2, 2020.

The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Association for the Gifted and Talented is an independent, voluntary organization of parents, educators, and gifted supporters. The organization was established in 1978 and continues today, providing resources for parents and advocating for students. The organization ensures that all gifted and talented students in CFBISD receive appropriate educational opportunities.
