Barbara Bush Middle School unveils updated school brand

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD is excited to unveil Barbara Bush Middle School’s updated school brand, marking a new chapter for the campus. The update introduces a new visual identity and school slogan designed to inspire leadership and unity across the entire community. This updated brand aligns with the school's planned Bond construction, which is expected to be completed by January 2028.

The rebrand for the campus came in response to its tremendous growth in student achievement—driven in part by the successful launch of the Institute of Technology and Engineering (ITE) in 2025—and the positive culture built by students and staff. While the school remains the proud home of the Broncos, the refreshed look represents a campus that deeply values excellence, leadership, innovation and belonging.

This new identity is the result of a collaborative effort by a dedicated rebrand committee. By bringing together students, staff and community members, the committee ensured that the new brand reflected the true voices of the entire Barbara Bush Middle School family. Throughout their meetings, committee members discussed core campus values and specific characteristics they wanted every Bronco to embody. The ultimate goal was to create a unified brand that strengthened school pride, reinforced a commitment to excellence and established a clear vision for the future.

For many years, "Building the Best" represented the campus’s commitment to excellence—a commitment that remains as strong as ever. However, as the campus continued to evolve, leadership recognized that it was time for a slogan that challenged students to take the next step. The school's new slogan, "Lead the Stampede," serves as an active call to action.

“Our new slogan reminds every Bronco that leadership is not reserved for a select few, but is an expectation for all,” said principal Lacey Tilley. “Whether in the classroom, on the field, on the stage or in the community, students and staff are challenged to lead with integrity, courage, compassion and purpose.”

The campus plans to introduce the rebrand throughout the school year through a series of intentional opportunities for students, staff and families to celebrate the new identity. Faculty and staff will learn about the vision and expectations before the school year begins, followed by student activities that focus on leadership, school pride and what it truly means to "Lead the Stampede." Families and community members will experience the rebrand through social media, newsletters, campus events, updated signage and new school spirit initiatives.

School leaders emphasize that this initiative is more than just a new logo or slogan—it is a commitment to sustaining the incredible momentum the Broncos have built, ensuring that this legacy of success and innovation continues well into the future.
