ORDER DECLARING RESULTS OF TRUSTEE GENERAL ELECTION

On this 13th day of May, 2026, the Board o f Trustees o f the CARROLLTON-
FARMERS BRANCH INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT convened in a meeting
with the following members present, to-wit:
Cassandra Hatfield, President
Kim Brady, Vice-President
Heana Garza-Rojas, Secretary
Marjorie Barnes, Member
Carelyn Benavides, Member
Paul Gilmore, Member
Randy Schackmann, Member
and Cassandra Hatfield, Ileana Garza-Rojas, Carolyn Benavides, Paul Gilmore, and
Randy Schackmann absent, constituting a quorum, and among other proceedings had by said Board o f Trustees were the following:
There came on to be heard the returns o f the trustee general election held on the 2nd day of May, 2026, for the purposes o f electing two (2) members to the Board of Trustees to three (3) year terms using the cumulative vote procedure; said returns of the election having been duly canvassed b y the Board o f Trustees and there being cast at said trustee general election the following votes.
A total o f 12,226 votes i n Dallas County, with each o f the candidates receiving the
following votes, to-wit:

by Texas Election Code section 67.004 are the detailed precinct-by-precinct election results prepared by the Dallas County Elections Department for the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District May 2, 2026, Board of Trustees General Election.
A total o f 4,446 votes i n Denton County, with each o f the candidates receiving the
following votes, to-wit:

by Texas Election Code section 67.004 are the detailed precinct-by-precinct election results prepared by the Denton County Elections Department for the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District May 2 , 2026, Board of Trustees General Election.
It appearing to the Board of Trustees and the said Board so finding:
that Carolyn Benavides received the highest number o f the votes cast; and
that Cinthya Noda received the second highest number o f votes cast.
IT IS, THEREFORE, FOUND AND DECLARED AND SO ORDERED by the
Board of Trustees of the CARROLLTON-FARMERS BRANCH INDEPENDENT
SCHOOL DISTRICT that the above trustee general election was duly called, that notice of said election was duly posted and that said election was held in accordance with law; and that at said election Carolyn Benavides was elected t o said Board of Trustees, subject to taking the oath of office; and that Cinthya Noda was elected to said Board o f Trustees, subject to taking the oath of office.
IT IS FURTHER FOUND AND DETERMINED that written notice of the date,
place and subject of this meeting was duly posted on the bulletin board located in the Central Administration Office of this school district, at a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public, as well as on the District's internet website, and said notice, having been s o posted, remained posted for at least three business days before the scheduled date of said meeting.
