Notice is hereby given of a drawing to determine the order in which the names of
candidates are to be printed on the ballot for the election to be held on May 2, 2026, for the two open trustee positions in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District. The drawing wil be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 1445 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, XT 75006. The candidates may be present if they desire.

Por la presente se notifica un sorteo para determinar el orden en que se imprimirán los nombres de los candidatos en la boleta para la elección que se celebrará el 2 de mayo de 2026 para los dos puestos de fideicomisario abiertos en el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Carrollton-Farmers Branch. El sorteo se llevará a cabo a las 2:00 p.m. los lunes 23 de febrero de 2026 en 1445 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, TX 75006. Los candidatos pueden estar presentes si así lo desean.

On this the 5th day of February, 2026, the Board of Trustees of the Carrollton-
Farmers Branch Independent School District convened in regular session, constituting a quorum, and among other proceedings had by said Board of Trustees were the following:

WHEREAS, the terms of office of Carolyn Benavides and Randy Schackmann
will expire on May 2, 2026, or when their successors are duly elected and qualified; and

WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of May, 2026, a Trustee Election will be held in said
School District; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary for this Board to pass an order establishing the
procedure for filing for and conducting said Trustee Election;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES:

1. That an election be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, for the purpose of
voting on two at-large members to the Board.

2. That all requests by candidates to have their names placed upon the ballot
shall be timely made in accordance with the law and shall be filed with the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, not earlier than Wednesday, January 14, 2026, and not later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026. The deadline for write-in candidates is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. The Secretary of the Board of Trustees shall post on the bulletin board in the building where the Board meets the names of all candidates that have filed their applications.

3. That the District’s Board approved the Resolution and Order dated October
9, 2015, whereby the majority vote procedure for electing members of the Board of Election Order, General Election, page 2 Trustees was rescinded, the cumulative vote procedure was adopted, and members are no longer elected by numbered position. The candidates shall not be required to state the
place number of the position for which such person is filing as a candidate on the application. Pursuant to said Resolution and Order, the cumulative vote procedure shall be implemented at the election, Board members will continue to serve three year staggered terms, and the trustee election cycle will continue henceforth until otherwise rescinded by the Board.

4. The polls at designated polling places shall on Election Day be open from
7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

5. In Dallas County:
Early voting shall be at early voting locations as designated by the Dallas County Elections Department. The Main Early Voting Location is the Elections
Training/Warehouse, 1460 Round Table Drive, Dallas, Texas 75247.

Early voting will be:

Monday, April 20, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday-Friday, April 22-24, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

7. Applications for Ballots by Mail (ABBMs) and Federal Post Card
Applications (FPCAs) must be received no later than the close of business on Monday, April 20, 2026. This election is being conducted under a contract with the Dallas County Elections Department and a contract with the Denton County Elections Department, as authorized under Texas Election Code Chapters 31 and 271, and is a joint election with other participating entities. The early voting locations are subject to change. The manner of holding said election shall be governed, as nearly as may be, by the Election Code of
this State, and the offices of the Dallas County Elections Administrator and Denton County Elections Administrator shall furnish all necessary ballots and other election supplies.

8. Dr. Wendy Eldredge, Superintendent, and Mr. Brian Moersch, Deputy
Superintendent, are each authorized to contract with the Dallas County Elections Administrator and the Denton County Elections Administrator, or any other agency, on
behalf of the District for the carrying out of this election, and as a joint election with other government entities.

9. The Board of Trustees shall give notice of said election. The Board
President, as the Presiding Officer of the Board of Trustees, is hereby authorized to execute the notice of election. The Secretary of the Board of Trustees is hereby authorized and instructed to post or cause to be posted said notice on the bulletin board used for posting notices of the meetings of the Board. The Secretary shall also cause a copy of the election notice to be published one time in a newspaper of general circulation in the County where the School District is located. It is further found and determined that written notice of the date, place and subject of this meeting was posted on the bulletin board located in the central administrative office in this School District, in a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public, and said notice, having been so posted, remained posted for the time required by law to precede the scheduled time of said meeting. En este día 5 de febrero de 2026, la Junta de Síndicos del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Carrollton-Farmers Branch se reunió en sesión regular y contando con el quórum necesario y entre otras medidas tratadas por dicha Junta de Síndicos estuvieron las siguientes:

POR CUANTO, los períodos de gestión de Carolyn Benavides y Randy Schackmann vencen el 2 de mayo de 2026, o cuando sus sucesores sean debidamente electos y acreditados; y

POR CUANTO, el 2 de mayo de 2026, se van a efectuar Elecciones de Síndicos en dicho Distrito Escolar; y

POR CUANTO, es necesario que esta Junta apruebe una orden en la que se establezca el procedimiento para la presentación de solicitudes y la realización de dichas

Elecciones de Síndicos;

POR TANTO, ORDÉNASE POR LA JUNTA DE SÍNDICOS:

1. Que se realicen elecciones el sábado 2 de mayo de 2026, con el fin de elegir dos miembros generales para la Junta.

2. Que todas las solicitudes de los candidatos para que se incluyan sus nombres en la boleta se hagan oportunamente de acuerdo a ley y sean presentadas al Distrito Escolar Independiente de Carrollton-Farmers Branch, no antes del miércoles 14 de enero de 2026 y a más tardar a las 5:00 p.m. del viernes 13 de febrero de 2026. La fecha límite para candidatos intercalados es hasta las 5:00 p. m. del martes 17 de febrero de 2026. El Secretario de la Junta de Síndicos deberá publicar en el tablón de anuncios del edificio donde se reúne la Junta los nombres de todos los candidatos que hayanOrden de Elecciones, Elecciones Generales, página 2 presentado sus solicitudes.

3. La Junta de Síndicos del Distrito Escolar aprobó la Resolución y Orden de fecha 9 de octubre de 2015 conforme a la cual se anuló el procedimiento de votación por mayoría para elegir a los miembros de la Junta de Síndicos, se adoptó el procedimiento de voto acumulativo, y ya no se elige a los miembros por puesto numerado. A los candidatos no se les exigirá declarar el número del puesto para el cual se están postulando en la solicitud. De conformidad con dicha Resolución y Orden, el procedimiento de votación acumulativa se implementará en las elecciones arriba mencionadas, los miembros de la Junta continuarán sirviendo por periodos de tres años consecutivos y continuará para elecciones futuras hasta que sea anulado por la Junta.

4. Los comicios en los lugares de votación designados deberán estar abiertos el Día de las Elecciones de 7:00 a. m. a 7:00 p. m.

5. En el Condado de Dallas:

7. Las solicitudes para la obtención de una Boleta para Votar por Correo (ABBMs, por sus siglas en inglés) y las solicitudes para una Tarjeta Postal Federal (FPCAs, por sus siglas en inglés), deben ser recibidas a más tardar, al cierre del día laboral, el lunes 20 de abril de 2026. Estas elecciones se llevan a cabo bajo un contrato con el Departamento de Elecciones del Condado de Dallas y bajo un contrato con el Departamento de Elecciones del Condado de Denton tal como lo autoriza el Código Electoral de Texas, Capítulos 31 y 271, y son unas elecciones conjuntas con otras entidades participantes. Los centros de votación anticipada están sujetos a cambio. Laforma de realizacion de dichas elecciones debera estar regida, tan exactamente como sea posible, por el Codigo de Elecciones de este Estado, y la oficina del Administrador de Elecciones del Condado de Dallas y la oficina del Administrador del Condado de Denton deberan proporcionar todas las boletas y otros suministros electorales necesarios.

8. La Dra. Wendy Eldredge, Superintendente, y el Sr. Brian Moersch, Superintendente Interino, estan cada uno autorizados para establecer acuerdos con el Administrador de Elecciones del Condado de Dallas y con el Administrador de Elecciones del Condado de Denton, o con cualquier otra agenda en nombre del Distrito para la realizacion de estas elecciones y como elecciones conjuntas con otras entidades gubemamentales.

El Secretario tambien debera hacer que se publique una copia del aviso de elecciones, una vez, en un periodico de circulacion general del Condado donde se encuentra ubicado el Distrito Escolar.

Tambien se concluye y determina que se publico un aviso por escrito de la fecha, el lugar y el tema de esta reunion en el tablon de anuncios ubicado en la oficina administrativa central de este Distrito Escolar, en un lugar conveniente y accesible para el publico en general, y que dicho aviso permanecio publicado durante el tiempo precedente al momento de di cha reunion exigido por la ley.

1. Rằng một cuộc bầu cử sẽ được tổ chức vào Thứ Bảy, ngày 2 Tháng Năm, 2026, nhằm mục đích bầu ra ba thành viên chung cho Hội đồng quản trị.

2. Rằng tất cả các yêu cầu của ứng cử viên để có tên trong lá phiếu sẽ được thực hiện kịp thời theo quy định của pháp luật và sẽ được nộp cho Khu Học Chánh Độc Lập Chi Nhánh Carrollton-Farmers, không sớm hơn Thứ Tư, ngày 14 Tháng Giêng, 2026, và không muộn hơn 5:00 giờ chiều vào thứ Sáu, ngày 13 Tháng Hai, 2026. Hạn chót cho các ứng viên viết tên vào để ghi danh là 5:00 giờ chiều vào Thứ Ba, ngày 17 Tháng Hai, 2026. Thư Ký của Hội Đồng Quản Trị sẽ dán trên bảng thông báo trong tòa nhà nơi Hội đồng gặp tên của tất cả các ứng cử viên đã nộp đơn.

3. Rằng Hội Đồng Quản Trị của Học Khu đã thông qua Nghị quyết và Lệnh ngày 9 Tháng Mười, 2015, theo đó thủ tục bỏ phiếu theo đa số để bầu các thành viên của Hội Đồng Quản Trị đã bị bãi bỏ, thủ tục bỏ phiếu tích lũy được thông qua, và các thành viên không còn được bầu theo vị trí được đánh số. Ứng viên không bắt buộc phải ghi rõ mã số vị trí mà người đó đang ứng tuyển trong đơn. Theo Nghị quyết và Lệnh nói trên, thủ tục bỏ phiếu tích lũy sẽ được thực hiện tại cuộc bầu cử, các thành viên Hội đồng sẽ tiếp tục phục vụ các nhiệm kỳ so le trong ba năm và chu kỳ bầu cử ủy viên quản trị sẽ tiếp tục kể từ đó cho đến khi Hội đồng bãi bỏ.

4. Các phòng phiếu tại các địa điểm bỏ phiếu được chỉ định sẽ mở cửa từ 7:00 giờ sáng đến 7:00 giờ tối vào Ngày Bầu Cử.

5. Tại Quận Dallas:

Việc bỏ phiếu sớm sẽ được thực hiện tại các địa điểm bỏ phiếu sớm do Phòng Bầu Cử Quận Dallas chỉ định. Địa Điểm Bỏ Phiếu Sớm Chính là Nhà Kho/Đào Tạo Bầu Cử, 1460 Round Table Drive, Dallas, Texas 75247.

Bỏ phiếu sớm sẽ là:

Thứ Hai, ngày 20 Tháng Tư, 2026, từ 8:00 giờ sáng đến 5:00 giờ chiều.

Việc bỏ phiếu sớm sẽ được thực hiện tại các địa điểm bỏ phiếu sớm do Phòng Bầu Cử Quận Denton chỉ định. Địa Điểm Bỏ Phiếu Sớm Chính là Cơ Quan Bầu Cử Quận Denton, 701 Kimberly Drive, Suite A111, Denton, Texas, 76208.

Bỏ phiếu sớm sẽ là:

Thứ Hai, ngày 20 Tháng Tư, 2026, từ 8:00 giờ sáng đến 5:00 giờ chiều.
Thứ Tư–Thứ Sáu, ngày 22–24 Tháng Tư năm 2026, từ 8:00 sáng đến 5:00 chiều
Thứ Bảy, ngày 25 Tháng Tư, 2026, từ 8:00 giờ sáng đến 5:00 giờ chiều.
Thứ Bảy, ngày 26 Tháng Tư, 2026, từ 11:00 giờ sáng đến 5:00 giờ chiều.
Thứ Hai-Thứ Ba, ngày 27-28 Tháng Tư, 2026, từ 7:00 giờ sáng đến 7:00 giờ tối.

7. Đơn Xin Lá Phiếu qua Thư (ABBM) và Đơn Xin Thẻ Bưu Điện Liên Bang (FPCA) phải được nhận không muộn hơn thời điểm kết thúc giờ làm việc vào Thứ Hai, ngày 20 Tháng Tư, 2026. Cuộc bầu cử này đang được tiến hành theo hợp đồng với Phòng Bầu Cử Quận Dallas và hợp đồng với Phòng Bầu Cử Quận Denton, như được ủy quyền theo Bộ Luật Bầu Cử Texas Chương 31 và 271, đồng thời là cuộc bầu cử chung với các đơn vị tham gia khác. Các địa điểm bỏ phiếu sớm có thể thay đổi. Cách thức tổ chức cuộc bầu cử nói trên sẽ được điều chỉnh gần như có thể bởi Bộ Luật Bầu Cử của Tiểu Bang này, và các văn phòng Quản Trị Viên Bầu Cử Quận Dallas và Quản Trị Viên Bầu Cử Quận Denton sẽ cung cấp tất cả các lá phiếu cần thiết và các vật tư dụng cử khác.

8. Tiến sĩ Wendy Eldredge, Giám Đốc Học Khu, Brian Moersch, Phó Giám Đốc, mỗi người đểu được ủy quyền ký hợp đồng với Quản Trị Viên Bầu Cử Quận Dallas và Quản Trị Viên Bầu Cử Quận Denton, hoặc bất kỳ cơ quan nào khác, thay mặt cho Học khu để thực hiện việc bầu cử này, và như một cuộc bầu cử chung với các cơ quan chính phủ khác.

9. Hội Đồng Quản Trị sẽ thông báo về cuộc bầu cử nói trên. Chủ tịch Hội Đồng Quản Trị, với tư cách là Viên Chức Chủ Tọa của Hội Đồng Quản Trị, theo đây được ủy quyền thực hiện thông báo bầu cử. Thư Ký của Hội Đồng Quản Trị, theo đây được ủy quyền và huớng dẫn để đăng hoặc khiên cho viêc đăng thông báo nói trên ỏ bảng thông báo được sử dụng để đăng thông báo vể các cuộc họp của Hội đồng. Thư ký cũng phải đăng một bản sao của thông báo bầu cử một lần trên một tờ báo phạt hành chung tại Quận nơi Khu Học Chánh đặt trụ sở.

Người ta phát hiên thêm và xác định rằng thông báo bằng văn bản về ngày, địa điểm và chu de của cuộc họp này đã được dang trên bảng thong bao đặt tại văn phòng hành chính trung tâm của Khu Học Chánh này, o một nơi thuận tiện và dễ dàng tiếp cận doi voi công chúng; và thông báo nói trên, đã được dang nhu vay, van được dang trong thời gian má luật phap quy định trước gian dự kiến của cuộc họp nói trên.
